My Unconventional Fathers' Day Greetings

I'm posting this through my phone so hopefully, the formatting does not look too weird... :)

To the man I look up to the most, thanks for being the best papa to mommy and the best father figure to me and my sisters. Thanks for letting me eat everything I wanted, letting me play with your stapler and microscope, taking care of me every time I was sick and for all the other great times you shared with me in the 17 years we lived together. Even if you're in heaven now, happy father's day, Lolo. I love you and I miss you every day. :) 

To the woman who showed me how it is to be a lady and have bigger balls than some men, thanks for being my mom and dad when I was growing up. I wouldn't be who I am now without you. You made up for whatever people would think is missing in our unconventional yet fun family set up. You taking on two roles must have been really hard but you were pretty great in being a dad, you know... letting us go out with our friends, accepting whoever we wanted to date and for being friends with our friends. You were always the cool mom and my friends could attest to that! Thanks for taking on the (additional) role and staying cool, for that, you will always be my inspiration to become the best person I could be while still being grounded. I love you and I appreciate everything you've done and are still doing for me and ate Ria and ate Jef. 

To my best friend and husband, thanks for jumping into the fur parents world with me. Thanks for being a great fur dad to Fox, taking him for walks when I'm too lazy to and for playing with him when I am too sleepy. I can't wait to see you actually taking on the human daddy role, I have a feeling you'll be great at it. I love you so much!

To my brother-in-law, thanks for raising two awesome kids with my sister. Thanks for being that kind of person the kids look up to and for always making sure my sister an the kids are happy and well. I could not ask for a better person to take care of them. I love you :)

It's a Good Day to Turn 26

I took yesterday off and have been a sleepyhead since. I took 2 naps yesterday, I only woke up to eat and take Fox out for a walk...that kind of sleepyhead. And NO, I'm not pregnant. Hahaha!

I fell asleep on the couch last night and at some point, Ron started screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY around the house to wake me up. I knew it was midnight because he does this every year ;) He then got the cake that one of my closest friends got me on Tuesday (because she is the sweetest ever), lit the candle and sang the birthday song for me. 

I woke up a little confused but happy, feeling blessed and smiling. I got a lot of kisses from him and Fox and a HUGE box for my present. If you haven't seen it on IG yet, I got this...

Of course my husband could get me the red KitchenAid mixer I've been wanting. ;) Thank you lovey! You're the best!

I Have Food on My Mind...All the Time

My health conscious coworker is not in the office last Monday so I thought it's a good idea to sneak a donut and cup of iced coffee in my diet. And that is after I had a full lunch meal from the vegan place next door. I'm really feeling this birthday blues thing so I'm trying to make myself feel better with good (but ironically bad) food.

In other news, we went to the 626 Night Market last weekend but  I did not get to take a lot of photos and the two booths I went for, Beatnixx and Banzai Jerky, I was not able to visit. So I'm going to head back to the night market again next week so I can go shop at their booths! Here are a few snaps I took. :)

Birthday Wishlist 2013

I am not one who wants super expensive things on my birthday. At least not anymore. Like I told Ron, I've been wanting a pet for so long so having Fox was already like an early birthday present. I'd honestly rather do my favorite thing, sleep in, make breakfast, sit on the couch all day while folding clean clothes and laughing at Fox's face while he tilts his head trying to understand what I'm doing and usually telling him. But then again, presents are like the little bonuses in life. It's like that second cup of coffee that gives you another boost and makes your day better. LOL So this is it, my wishlist...

Surprised I did not include any dresses and purses? Yeah, me too. ;) I guess I just get a lot of those things throughout the year so I don't really wish for them anymore. Haha!
